This was an Instagram I took on our impromptu trip to Washington, DC while we were vacationing in Tennessee with my parents-in-law. We were driving through Virginia at the time this image was captured.

Every time we drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains I’m amazed by the purpley blue hues and think back hundreds of years to the amazement & beauty that the first Europeans saw as they made landfall & explored our beautiful country.
