After some recent stressful bedtimes and a successful escape from the crib, we decided that it was time for William to get the rail taken off and have the crib converted to a toddler bed!

It took some time to get used to it, of course, but once we got settled in to his favorite activity, reading, he laid down and enjoyed many, many stories. I feel like I must have read about 37 books last night! Eventually he fell asleep. He didn’t stay in his bed all night – he ended up on the floor at one point, sleeping next to Zachary’s bed. I guess he wanted to be near his big brother. How sweet 🙂 Hoping that tonight goes smoothly. I can’t believe that we are already at this milestone. William is 20 months old now, which is just about the same age that we made the transition for Zachary!
