A few photos from Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada, FL

I feel like such a bad blogger! I owe my blog a big update, but for now I’m sharing a couple of great photos from gorgeous Cheeca Lodge, a luxury resort in Islamorada in the Florida Keys.

I had a wedding there two weeks ago and my second shooter Jessica and I had an amazing time. We didn’t stay at Cheeca, but rather down the street, but we did spend some time there getting drinks one day and lunch the next (they make the BEST piña colada I’ve ever had! hands down!) and it was enough to convince me that I do need to stay there. The place was heavenly – not only a beautiful place for a wedding but an amazing place to just get away and relax. It is unbelievable that this slice of paradise is a mere 2 hours from my doorstep.

Here are a few snaps I captured during the wedding – I have a bunch more photos from the Keys that I want to share including some beautiful sunset shots. Stay tuned for more! I can’t get enough of the Keys and am really looking forward to getting back there again really soon!

Stay tuned to my pro photography blog for images of the wedding, hopefully I will be blogging them soon! 🙂

All images captured with the Canon 5D. For the first three images, I used the gorgeous 100mm f/2.8L lens, and the last was made with the 50mm f/1.4 lens.
