I volunteered as a tutor one year, and the card that the kids made for me at the end of the year is hands down my most treasured.
The best thank you card (I can remember) is from the Chinese students I tutor. They wrote me a thank you card at Christmas-time last year and it was so heartfelt and had such genuine appreciation for the help I had given them. It brought tears to my eyes! They even added “I love you,” to the card and I know they meant it! 🙂 Thanks for a chance to win! kmassman gmail

Best thank you ever was the scrapbook from my kids in the Sunday School class I taught. I immediately burst into tears every time I look at it. 🙂
thank you from my aunt which made me feel like a million bucks for a small gift – she writes wonderful notes which are so personalized
Like others who have posted, my favorite thank you’s have come from my students. At the end of the year last June, one of my graduating Kinders gave me a hand made card with a jingle bell taped to it. In the card she wrote several times, You are the best greatest most wonderful teacher ever. She also wrote that the bell was mine “to keep”. Ha! I’m sure it was a big deal to give me an “extra” with that card. 🙂 Naturally, I still have both. As a side note, I want to say that the best thing my father did for me was to make me write a thank you card for every gift I received starting before I could even write letters. I believe this is the reason I have such a strong appreciation for others’ generosity and it is one of my best qualities to date.
You’re on my blogroll! 🙂

I got a card from my kids class romm last year that they made because I volunteer.
Last year I got a thank you card from a friend who had been through a rough year with a bad back and personal problems, and I had helped her with some errands and things. She was thanking me for being a good friend and it made me feel good.

The best thank you card was from my grandmother. It was the best because it was heartfelt and unexpected.
