red, red wine

If you know me and Adrian, you know that we enjoy wine. Though we certainly drink a lot less wine these days since having Zachary (and, well, since getting pregnant, obviously), I always enjoy relaxing with a glass of red wine after a long day or while watching a great movie or show. Adrian and I really enjoy a hearty Zinfandel, but I’m also a fan of Cabernet, Shiraz, and Grenache.

Back before we had Zachary, Adrian and I used to get together with our friend Jason and our friend Roger (before Roger moved to NH) every once in a while, and watch Battlestar Galactica. Well, BSG is no longer on TV, and Roger is now in NH with his wife and baby, and Jason and his wife are expecting their own child this August, so having another night like that is probably just a pipe dream, lol. Maybe one day we can all get together one day and watch The Wiggles or something.

Anyway, it’d be really nice to have our friends over one day to watch a movie on our nice HDTV (which spends most of its time tuned into cartoons these days) and enjoy some wine and cheese together along with a little adult conversation.

If that EVER happens (wishful thinking??), it would be cool to have some wine charms so we could actually keep track of our glasses. I found this awesome Etsy shop called B’Bye Butterfly which specializes in beautiful wine glass, coffee, and tea charms and they are actually having a giveaway to win one of their charm sets. The website that is sponsoring the giveaway, JOT Giveaways, does a lot of neat giveaways and is worth checking out, too!

My favorite set of wine charms is, naturally, the Red Wine set… but I also REALLY like the Vampire/Twilight themed bookmark. čÖé Do you have a favorite?

  1. I thought those wine charms were great. I love the ones with Scrabble tiles on them – too cute.

Love your blog! Your son is adorable – I think that age is such a fun one, where they’re starting to develop their personality more and more.
    .-= Christi┬┤s last blog … Menu Plan Monday =-.

  2. i’m ready for a wine and cheese night, Karen! we’re not BSG fans, but a good movie or just some adult conversation and NO CARTOONS/BABY EINSTEIN sounds phenomenal.
