Lots of people have today off. It’s Veterans’ Day, which officially marks the end of World War 1. According to Wikipedia, “major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 with the German signing of the Armistice.”
My dad is a Veteran of the Vietnam War, so for me, today is a day to honor him!
Here is a photo of my dad with his detachment when he was 1st Lieutenant Peter Berlin – Officer in Command of the AFVN (Armed Forces Vietnam Network) in Quang-Tri. My dad is the 3rd one in the top row.
Here is another picture of him:
I really wish the photos were bigger, but they’re all I have here on my computer. One day I am going to have to ask my dad for some higher resolution scanned photos from his days in Vietnam.
