soothing the stomach

I wish I knew what I could do to make my stomach calm down. I feel sick both at night AND in the morning. For a short period of time in the afternoon, I am okay. I have tried ginger ale, seltzer, and eating lighter foods. Nothing seems to work. I am sooo ready for the nausea to end. I am almost out of my first trimester and SO hoping the nausea doesn’t continue as I move on into my second. *sigh*

  1. Have you tried ginger capsules? They sell them in health food stores and sometimes even pharmacies. They were SO HELPFUL to me when I had the stomach issues from hell – months on end of nausea, not being able to eat anything, etc. I started taking them and within a few days, things were markedly improved…

  2. I haven’t tried the actual capsules. My prenatal vitamins have ginger IN them, but those are hard enough to swallow as it is. Maybe I’ll stop by the pharmacy and check out the capsules. Thanks for the tip!

  3. i’m sorry. the only thing that worked for me was to have something in my stomach at all times. mine finally went away at 18 wks but i think i was a weirdo. hope yours goes away really soon!!

  4. I’ve had relatively severe chronic nausea for the last four years, and Yogi Ginger Tea always helps me out. So do ginger altoids, although I haven’t been able to find those recently.
